Goethe Brings the Theater to JLSS

Thanks to Goethe Institute, the play: "Trip to the Moon" was brought all the way form Damascus to JLSS. The cast arrived on Monday 19 of January and performed their play at 1.00 pm in Hermann Schneller Hall. This cultural event was organized by Dr. Martin Keller the General Coordinator for the new Goethe initiative "Schools: Partners for the Future". The play which was written and directed by Mohammad Nasser Al-Shibly, has educational, cultural, and pedagogical aims. It aims at emphasizing the elements of love, doing good, giving, and forgiveness in children. It teaches through acting, singing, and dancing on stage. The cast is specialized in children drama and was chosen by Goethe institute. Our children loved the play and interacted well through shouting, smiling, and dancing. Students from the Kindergarten classes to Grade Seven attended the play. We express our most sincere gratitude to Dr. Martin Keller, Goethe Institute, and the cast of Trip to the Moon for this wonderful cultural event, the great fun, and the valuable education that our children very much enjoyed.
