SCHNELLER ALUMNI AND FRIENDS ASSOCIATION
Vancouver, WA 2/23/2011
I am happy to inform you that our get-together this year 2011 is
scheduled to be in Niagara Falls, Canada, June 17-19, 2011. Please
contact Rafik El-Far at 416-536-6031, Toronto, Canada, regarding
accommodation.
Last year’s get-together took place in Stuttgart and Erpfingen, Germany.
Alumni and friends commemorated the 150th Anniversary of the founding of
the Schneller Schools in Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon. The celebrations
included speeches and presentations by prominent personalities with
emotional and financial ties to the Schneller Schools.
The Alumni visited the grave of Aboona Hermann Schneller in Erpfingen,
They paid their respects and admiration to a very influential man in our
lives. They celebrated with the municipality of Erpfingen the life of
Hermann Schneller. They sang Arabic and German songs, they danced to the
music and they left behind lots of hugs, laughs and beautiful memories.
We expect, that one of our future get-togethers, will be one year in
Erpfingen, Germany.
Special thanks to Eva and Basil Rischmaui for providing the delicious
food and coordinating the get-together. Many thanks go to Richard
Fagher, for donating the dinner, at the municipality, in Erpfingen. A
big gratitude is due to Nicolas Neaimi who donated the wreath at
Aboona’s grave, and led the Association’s activities. A big hug and
appreciation are in order for all those who attended from Lebanon,
Germany, Canada, America, Austria and England.
The Lutheran Board for Mission Support disbursed US$56,000 to the School
for daily operations, computers and the science laboratory. Thanks to
all who cared.
I am looking forward, to sharing with you, in Niagara Falls, bread,
laughs and memories. Please come and bring your children with you.
