German Ambassador Visit May 2019

The newly appointed German Ambassador in Beirut, Dr. Georg Birgelen, visited Schneller School on Friday 31 May 2019.
He was accompanied with his wife, Sybille, and the pastor of the German Church in Beirut, Rev. Jürgen Henning.
The director showed the ambassador and his accompanying guests around the school. He informed them about the various programs that JLSS runs for underprivileged children regardless of gender, race, and religion.
He expressed his gratitude for the kind support Schneller School received from the German Embassy in Beirut and the special friendship to JLSS, through successive ambassadors.
He expressed his most sincere gratitude to the German churches and people, who through the JLSS partner EVS/EMS, make the wonderful charitable work to disadvantaged children possible. Their continued and committed support enables Schneller School to fulfill its special mission to the poor and needy in our region.
The ambassador, his wife, and Rev. Henning were invited for lunch with the director and his wife kindly prepared by the wonderful JLSS kitchen staff.
